The NVRS practice at Bury St. Edmunds offers a comprehensive referral service for vets. Our on-site team are available to develop treatment plans for all cases.

How to find us

Our Bury St. Edmunds centre is located on Boldero Road and is adjacent to Easlea Road. Our main entrance to the car park is easily accessible and easy to find.

Travelling from A14 southbound

Take exit 44 to Bury St Edmunds East/Sudbury. Stay in the left hand lane and continue onto Bedingfeld Way. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on Bedingfeld Way. Go through one more roundabout and turn right onto Easlea Road. Turn left into Boldero road and we are just on your right.

Travelling from A14 northbound

Take exit 44 to Bury St Edmunds East/Sudbury. At the roundabout go right towards Moreton Hall and continue onto Bedingfeld Way. At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on Bedingfeld Way. Go through one more roundabout and turn right onto Easlea Road. Turn left into Boldero road and we are just on your right.

CT Scanning

Our radiographer-led service provides high quality three-dimensional images. Our advanced imaging capabilities enable better diagnoses and can result in more effective treatment for animals.

Endoscopy

Ultrasound

Ultrasound machines produce still and dynamic images using soundwaves.

X-ray

At NVRS, we have an onsite digital imaging CR system that produces two-dimensional x-ray images. With minimal processing time, images are available quickly.

Dental X-ray

X-rays provide visibility of the lower sections of teeth and surrounding structures that are not externally visible.

Root Canal Treatments

Root canal is a complex procedure, requiring specialist training and equipment.

Dental Discolouration

Intrinsic staining of teeth is usually permanent. When the whole tooth is discoloured, the pulp is almost always irreparably damaged.

Orthopaedics

Whether a chronic or acute problem, our skilled team of veterinary surgeons provide a range of surgical options for fractures, luxations, ligaments and joint disease.

Thoracic Surgery

Our soft tissue surgery team carry out a range of thoracic surgery, including diaphragm rupture repairs, lung lobectomies, exploratory thoracotomies and thoracic wall resection.

Complex Tumour Removal

At NVRS we are able to offer surgical treatment of tumours such as mast cell tumours, anal sac carcinomas, oral masses and abdominal masses.

Wound Care and Reconstructive Surgery

Our wound care and reconstructive services, whilst not limited to, tend to predominantly be used in two cases: 1) to repair traumatic wounds which may involve large loss of skin, and/or if left, may have become necrotic, and 2) to resolve tissue defects caused by the removal of large tumours.

Urinary Tract Surgery

NVRS provide treatment for a range of urinary tract conditions.

Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Surgery

Keyhole (Laparoscopic) Surgery

At NVRS we can perform laparoscopic surgery, a minimally invasive technique common in human surgery.

Anorectal Surgery

At NVRS we can provide advice and treatment for a range of anal sac (often called gland) disorders including anal sacculitis, anal sac neoplasia, rectal prolapse and rectal tumours.

Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery

Trauma Management

Trauma patients regularly require immediate care thus we have a 24-hour critical care team to accommodate these patients.

Reproductive Surgery

At NVRS we are able to perform laparoscopic bitch spays, pyometra surgery, C-sections and pregnancy ultrasound.

Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy, in conjunction with veterinary treatment, can significantly improve the quality and rate of healing, following surgery or a traumatic injury. Hydrotherapy is also considered to be a natural anti-inflammatory, through its ability to reduce tissue swelling.

Physiotherapy

A variety of land based Physiotherapy techniques are available, carried out using therapeutic handling to ensure the dog is comfortable and relaxed.

Home Care

Our therapist will talk to you in detail to assess other contributing factors so that they have an understanding of the patient’s environment and lifestyle.
